Bumpdate

 33weeks 33belly

How Far Along: 33 weeks

Total Weight Gained: 13.5 lbs – added another pound.

Best Moment of the Week: Almost finishing the nursery! All our furniture is assembled and after hours of rearranging I’ve finally found a set up I love! All we need is a crib mattress and I have to finish revamping her closet!

Food Cravings: We bought this Saturday. There may be 5 pieces left!

chocolate

Food Aversions: Eggs.

Belly button/stretch marks: The bb popped and please note that the bottom of my belly button is disgusting!

No stretch marks yet. I feel lucky and I’m hoping I can make it without any!

Symptoms: The larger I get the harder it is for me to pee in that little tiny cup they give you at the doctor. It’s very likely that I pee on my hand every time! Don’t worry I’m an excessive hand washer!

I feel like I just ran a marathon after everything I do. If I have to stand up or walk for more than 3 minutes I turn into a hot mess!

John Paul’s pregnancy symptoms: Deadline for the nursery is Friday. Let’s see if Bert lives another week!

Movement: This is insane! I can see body parts poking out all the time. She moves like crazy and it’s starting to hurt some.

Gender: Girl – Turner McCartney

Milestones: Another week down!

I had my appointment yesterday. They’ll start checking me next time and then I’ll go every week. I got the ok from my fabulous doctor to schedule an induction if I make it to 39 weeks! Woo Hoo!!

I asked about the “crooked line” on my belly. He seems to think I’m neurotic and said the line might go away. Eventually. I would hate to have to resort to skin bleaching!

If I’m induced at 39 weeks that means we only have 6 weeks left people! I think we can make it!

Thanks for all the suggestions on must have baby items. I’m going back to Tar-jay tomorrow to add a few more things and I think we’ll be set!!

You are so freaking cute and I can't believe you only have 6 weeks left! I totally forgot to send you my list of must haves, so here they are in no particular order of importance: Lanolin - apply it religiously and your nipples will thank you; as many wash cloths as you can find - not sure why, but we go through more of these in a day than I ever thought possible; a bouncy chair - this is the only thing that allows me to put Abby down some days; boppy changing pad liners - otherwise I'm pretty sure I would have had to replace our changing cover multiple times already; sleepers with zippers - everyone told me I would love gowns in the beginning, but they were wrong because in the winter gowns mean you need socks and socks don't stay on newborns so make sure you have lots of sleepers that zip up because rebuttoning 75,000 buttons at 4am is really no fun; bottles and a small thing of formula just in case. I think that's all of my absolute must haves, but if I think of anything else I'll definitely let you know!

Enjoying reading your candid blog posts as a newlywed - and loving that you include your husband's preg symptoms too - I'm sure we'll act the same way when I am preg!

Still sporting a faint line and MC is 14 months now. I don't know if this darn thing will ever go away, but I've got a positive mindset about it all - its my mommy badge. My badge of honor that says I have given my life (and body!) to a precious little gift from God and I couldn't be happier about it! So even if it decides to stick around for a while like mine, be proud momma! (PS - mine was also crooked and I had the craziest, nastiest ring around my belly button - see facebook pics for evidence...)
