Christmas Festivities

I absolutely LOVED our Christmas card this year! I found this card on etsy and all I did was send our pictures to the lady and she sent me back the jpg file for the card. I had them printed at Walgreens and voila! A fabulously cheap Christmas card to share with our friends and family! Now as you may notice, my children are exceptionally cute and look very well behaved! Now we all know looks can be deceiving and well these posed pictures in front of the tree were all but simple to capture. :)

I have been super busy with all my Christmas gatherings. Unfortunately...my parents are divorced and well ya know that adds a lot of homes to visit on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. :)

The Hubs parents came down the week before Christmas to celebrate with us and Mel (the sis-in-law). We had a blast stuffing our faces and spending time with his side of the fam! Fortunately for him us, his parents still love each other, I know it's not normal - parents don't usually stay married do they? - so we didn't have to spend 3 days visiting ALL sides of his family. (You know like we had to do for my completely normal functional fam!)

We got 2 kids off the Salvation Army Angel Tree and had a blasty blast shopping for them! The Hubs and I just do stockings for each other, and our children of course, and we have so much fun with it! This year on Christmas morning I made a Breakfast Casserole and we headed over to Ricker's and did Christmas with my daddy and Trisha. After that it was off to Mamaw's for more stockings and food with my mom's side of the fam! Then....we headed to Brookwood to visit Bert's (a.k.a. the hubs or John Paul) grandmother whom we never get to see. It was nice to go visit with her and Kenny. We left Brookwood and went by the house to check on the kiddos and then we headed to Addison to see my step-mom's fam and eat some more food and open more presents!

Whew!!! It makes me tired just writing it all down! And did I mention that my wonderfully fabulous husband worked Christmas Eve from 11-7 came home and did all these fun festive activities with absolutely NO SLEEP?!?!? Yeah he's amazingly awesome. :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I am going to post pictures from our Christmas festivities later tonight!

Maternally Challenged

So last night I had the pleasure of picking up the cutest little girl {EVER} from school. I mean have you ever seen a cuter face?!? I know you haven't!

I was super excited to see her sweet face. So I left work (in the tornadic weather....well not really tornadic but super scary darkness!) and headed to pick up TB. Now TB happens to go to school where I went to school so you're thinking I should know how to find the pre-school. WRONG! So I call my bestie Courtney and she directs me to the "new" road that leads to the preschool. Now this "new" road is actually a ghetto-fied gravel/dirt sketchy PATH to the pre-school. Once I make it to the school I go in and see TB and we're off to find her back pack and car seat.

Now, most normal people know how to install a car seat. Well folks...I am maternally challenged. TB and I spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out how to put the *$!@ thing in the car. With a little a lot of help from the munchkin I figured it out and got her secured in her carseat and we were off to McDonald's for some chiten(chicken) and FRIES!!

I took TB home {sad day} and we played for a bit with Mommy and T and when I had to leave (because the tornadoes were coming, and TBMommy and T were murdering mice) she cried pretended to cry because she wanted to go with me. It broke my heart and I promised TBMommy that we would have a play date next weekend so she and T could have a grown-up date. I can't wait.

Happy Birthday Warbux!!

I know....long time no blog! I have been a huge blog slacker and my hopes of keeping this blog for my personal journal has completely failed!

I have so much I need to write that I don't know where to begin. But for now I will post about my WONDERFUL father who turned 60 {gasp!!!} today!

So my daddy is pretty much the best daddy EVER! He's the most amazing man I know. Honestly I am super stressed that he is 60. That doesn't seem right to me. He's so youthful and awesome so I guess age really is just a number...

I can't wait to see him tonight so he can open his amazing gift from his (fabulously awesome) daughter and (handsome) son-in-law. It's a new PS3 game that is supposedly the. best. ever. And of course there will be ice cream cake for all. I can't wait!

Happy Birthday Ricker!! You are the best daddy a girl could ever ask for.
